Outline:Working with the adage 'foam is your friend,' the Zen has a rounded nose, and a wider point is pushed further forward than usual. These two elements combine to provide a wealth of extra surface area under your chest to facilitate easy paddling, help you catch more waves, and improve your wave count, especially on smaller days. The slight dome in the deck creates some sneaky additional volume under the chest for even more buoyancy, stability, and a cheater paddling ability that everyone wants without affecting the board's responsiveness in any way.

Rocker:The board's lower rocker combines enough lift in the nose to prevent nose-diving with enough flat area in the middle of the board to facilitate easy wave entry and maintain speed down the line.

Bottom Contours:The bottom curve features a single-to-double concave to help with those squirts of speed when needed. Additionally, a slight vee through the tail aids in smooth and responsive turns.

Tail:The swallow-tail allows you to pivot off the bottom, which is particularly helpful when on your backhand and enables the board to execute turns with precision. In contrast to the 50/50 rails on traditional fishes, the Zen tail has subtly tucked-in rails, enhancing overall performance. Despite its subtlety, this innovative tail design proves highly effective, enhancing the overall maneuverability of the Zen.
